AJ Auxerre, officially known as Association de la Jeunesse Auxerroise, is a historic French football club based in the Burgundy region and founded in 1905 by Abbé Ernest Deschamps. The club gained national prominence under legendary coach Guy Roux, who led them to Ligue 1 promotion in 1980 and later secured a remarkable league and Coupe de France double in the 1995–96 season.
