In 2021 PSG signed Nuno Mendes from Sporting Lisbon for €38 million after only one season in professional football. He was investment for the future and as we speak, he already signed his first contract extension with PSG on February 2025 with as massive increase in salary. His new 5-year deal will net him €7.5 million a year in salary including bonuses. When he initial signed for PSG his contract only included €1.5 million a year salary.
