Dominik Kohr is a German defensive midfielder and occasional centre-back who has become a leader at  FSV Mainz 05 since his move from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2021.

With over 130 appearances for Mainz and more than 300 Bundesliga games in his career, Kohr’s experience and consistent tackling ability (he leads the team in tackles won) have made him a defensive cornerstone.

In April 2025, he signed a contract extension to stay with the club until 30 June 2028, showing both player and club believe he’s key to their future plans. Kohr is currently Mainz’s highest-paid player, earning an estimated €1.89 million, approximately £1.59 million per year, which equals about €36,300 ( around £30,700 ) per week.
