Union Berlin
FC Union Berlin, nicknamed "Die Eisernen" ("The Iron Ones"), was founded in 1966 but its roots go back to 1906 through predecessor clubs in East Berlin. The club spent many decades outside the spotlight before climbing steadily through the German leagues, finally reaching the Bundesliga in 2019.
Since then, Union has built a strong reputation for resilience and team spirit, even securing qualifications for the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2021, the Europa League in 2022, and the Champions League for the first time in 2023–24. Their home ground, the Stadion An der Alten Försterei, holds around 22,000 passionate fans, making it one of the most atmospheric venues in German football.
