Lewandowski signed for Barcelona back in 2022 signing a 3-year deal until 2025 and option to extended for further 1 year. This contract made him one of the highest paid players in Spain. 2024/25 he is required to make atleast 55% appearences in official matches to automatically activate the last year in the contract keeping him at the club until the end of 2025/26 season.

Paycut for the last season ?: There are reports in Spanish media that Lewandowski will be taking an pay cut in the last year of his contract. Which is true but that clause was already added in the contract when he signed for Barcelona. His salary in the first season during this contract was €20 million. Increasing to €26 million in second year followed by €32 million in the third year. If fourth year is activated in the contract Lewandowski will earn €22 million taking his total earnings to around €100 million over four years period.
