Andreas Hanche‑Olsen is a Norwegian, strong centre-back (also able to play right-back) for Bundesliga club FSV Mainz 05, joined the club from Belgian side Gent in January 2023.

SSince his arrival, he’s made over 50 Bundesliga appearances, scored three goals, and regularly contributes defensively with key tackles and interceptions. On his club debut, coach Bo Svensson praised him as “physically strong and quick,” a “leader-type,” and “exactly what Mainz needed”.
